originally from australia, monika moved to france in 2011 to begin her career as a fashion designer and patternmaker. a gift of a ceramics class hooked her to the medium. unlike many ceramists or potters, monika works in many different techniques, throwing, hand building and slip casting. many of the pieces are made using 3d design technology and then made by hand. each piece is made with function and aesthetics in mind.
